Calculate XIRR
If you’ve ever looked at a SIP statement and wondered why the ‘returns’ number doesn’t match a simple percentage calculation, XIRR is the answer. This calculator works out your true annualised return across every installment and its own individual holding period, which is the standard way to measure SIP performance accurately.
What is an XIRR Calculator?
XIRR (Extended Internal Rate of Return) is the single annualised rate that, when applied to each cash flow over its own time horizon, equals your final maturity value. It’s more accurate than plain CAGR for SIPs because every installment has a different amount of time to grow, your first payment compounds for years, your last payment barely compounds at all.
XIRR on One Fund Isn't Your Family's Portfolio XIRR
This calculator measures one investment’s return. Most families hold SIPs and lumpsum investments across several AMCs, each with its own XIRR, and rarely know what their blended, family-wide XIRR actually is. Manually computing that across dozens of cash flows and multiple accounts isn’t realistic to do by hand.

Frequently Asked Questions
CAGR assumes a single lumpsum invested once. XIRR accounts for multiple cash flows on different dates, which is what actually happens with SIPs, making it the more accurate measure for recurring investments.
There's no direct formula. It's solved iteratively using the Newton-Raphson method to find the rate at which the present value of all cash flows equals zero.
This calculator applies a flat 12.5% LTCG rate on total gains as a planning estimate. Real-world tax depends on the holding period of each individual installment.
Each SIP installment is treated as an outflow, and your final redemption amount is treated as an inflow, on their actual dates.
Yes. Once your investments are aggregated, WealthNest.AI computes live XIRR for each holding and your overall family portfolio without manual entry.
